(book excerpt)..... Today,
thanks to studies about the brain, it has become possible to establish the
frequencies in which the brain works. Various schools have developed methods,
techniques and ways that allow anyone with even brief preparation to reach deep
states of consciousness, keeping all his faculties clear. We also, for our
part, have studied ourselves and developed techniques which allow us to reach
higher states of consciousness that our masters taught us. But we will reach it
much faster. In the past, and I'm talking about almost 5 decades ago, training
in our Order could last almost 2 years. This was because masters and students
had to develop the skills using the traditional exercises of the old masters,
they simply followed the tradition. When a master talked to a student about the
vibrations of sound, his process of understanding was very limited, even for
our masters it was difficult to explain these concepts. When they tried to
mobilize the energy within the body, the students' abilities altered
tremendously, and the vast majority had to practice for weeks to get a tangible
sense of the movement of internal energy.
Currently
we have improved the technique and studied areas of the brain that are
activated when performing certain activities, and we have been comparing and
testing new ways to reach the same activation. In the process of learning and
improvement we have discovered the Mental Swings; using the right keys you will
be able to feel the movement of your internal energy and its physiological
effect on the brain and body, a few seconds after starting the process. These
effects are exactly the same that occurred with the practices that we used
previously, and during these past years we have found that the final result is
the same. We have been using these new techniques for several decades, as I
told you, getting the same result with our apprentices. Many types of exercise
have been improved and we have also increased many of the master keys, although
many of them have not changed and continue in the pattern of the past, these
keys simply can’t be changed and must not be changed either.
In
modern times, due to the "openness of knowledge" that is occurring
globally there are a variety of schools and students of various philosophies
and techniques for educating the mind, such as: Transcendental Meditation,
Dynamic Meditation, TaiChi, Chi Kung, Silva Method, Psychotronic,
Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Metaphysics, etc. Therefore there are many people
who already have the ability to reach deep states of consciousness very
efficiently. So, we might wonder why
they have failed to awaken the powers we are seeking now. The answer is very
simple. When they get into these higher states of consciousness, they don't
know how to use the keys that we are teaching you to use; indeed, what we
should say is that in many cases even they don't know about them or merely
suspect that these keys and powers exist. As a result, when they enter these
states of higher consciousness, their goals, knowledge and development are
different from ours. Therefore, it is important to consider the techniques we
have learned in order to reach higher mental levels. In other words, we must
understand how our mind learned to arrive at these frequencies and intentions
with which it moved at each step, until it succeeds.
The
majority of current teachings seek to take you to states of high relaxation
and awareness in a fast way or at least relatively fast, depending on the
technique. Likewise, our teachings reach higher states of consciousness
quickly, but at the same time activate mental and physical powers of various kinds.
To give you an example, imagine you have two people who want to reach the top
of a mountain:
Person A: Decides to take the vertical route. He gathers up ropes, nails,
expansion plugs, connectors, anchors, and fills his backpack with food and
enough water for the journey and starts climbing the mountain vertically. Along
the way he realizes that it is better to secure his heels to climb horizontal
or vertical slits. He discovers that if it gets dark before he reaches his
goal, he can set up camp and deploy his hammock. And then he realizes that it
is better to climb when the sun is on the other side of the mountain. He
discovers that it is better to poke holes with a stick before putting his hand
in them, so as not to be surprised by snakes. Also he realizes that square
holes can give his hands more grip than oval ones; he realizes which of them
helps him to step and push off better. Also he realizes that certain cords work
better than others, that sometimes it is better to carry the bag hanging from a
cord than on his back. He learns that he must avoid areas of loose rocks and
climb with goggles as he’ll be safer than without them.
Person B: He begins to climb the mountain by spiraling up it. In his walk he
finds that doesn't need to carry a backpack with food, because if he is hungry
he can choose hearty fruits offered by the mountain. And he begins to discover
that by looking under some plants he can find water. He realizes that certain
fruits are delicious and not others, and those certain foods give him more
resistance than others to face the road. Also he realizes it’s safer to sleep
in a tree to avoid land animals, and that when standing in streams waiting for
the sun to be at its strongest he can catch some animals that come to drink
water, but of course runs the risk of encountering some very large ones. He
realizes that by climbing in a zigzag he gets less tired than he would in a
straight line and that it is better to rest at noon under a tree protected from
sunlight, and continue the march at dusk or dawn.
After
a while both men will be at the top, maybe one of them got there first and
already there long before the other, but although both have already reached the
top, and have reached the goal, the knowledge, skills, gear and techniques
which each of them have acquired will be different from the other. Both are
there, certainly, but by then each one has different skills and knowledge.
Therefore, each of them will be able to see possibilities and impossibilities
that the other does not see. With this in mind, we tell you, although you have
prepared earlier in what you consider great techniques or schools, you don't
know everything. You will have to retrace the other path to attain the wisdom
of the other traveler. But you will retain a great advantage in that your
physical strength and your mental attitude have already been tested once
before. You know you can reach the top and surely you will be able to take
lighter and safer steps in your progress. As the old and well known Taoist
saying goes, "if you want to fill your cup, first empty it, because if you
try to fill it when it is filled, everything is going to spill".
Travel
by a different path to reach the same top with new skills, knowledge and with a
new goal.
